“Invest in Youth” aims to foster financial literacy and civic engagement among young people by creating an interactive board game and a practical guide that connect personal finance with active citizenship. Through innovative learning, international training, and community workshops, the project empowers youth—especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds—to become financially capable and socially responsible citizens.

Objective
  • Develop a board game that teaches financial literacy and civic education in an engaging, accessible way.

  • Link financial education to civic responsibilities, fostering active citizenship.

  • Train youth workers to use the board game and accompanying guide in their programs.

  • Create a practical guide for youth workers connecting financial literacy with responsible citizenship.

  • Pilot and evaluate the tools to measure impact on youth financial literacy and civic engagement.

Activities
  • Project Management & Coordination – Kick-off meeting, planning, monitoring, and quality assurance.

  • Development of Educational Tools – Creation of the interactive board game, needs assessment, and practical guide.

  • Implementation Phase – International training in Italy for youth workers and learners; local piloting workshops in Germany, Portugal, and Italy.

  • Dissemination & Sustainability – Multiplier events, website, webinars, and long-term integration of the tools into educational programs.

Key Results
  • A fully developed interactive board game (print & play and physical formats in EN, DE, PT, IT).

  • A 10-page guide for youth workers on linking finance with civic responsibility.

  • 15 trained youth workers internationally and 45 trained young learners locally.

  • 3 multiplier events reaching at least 60 participants.

  • Improved financial literacy and civic awareness among young people, especially from marginalized backgrounds.

  • Sustainable resources freely accessible online to support long-term youth education.
